WSJ: Mongolian Prime Minister Discusses With Musk Creating Centers In Gobi Desert To Send Humans To Mars
Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrein Oyuun-Erdene and American businessman Elon Musk discussed the possibility of creating training centers in the Mongolian part of the Gobi Desert to send people to Mars, writes the Wall Street Journal.
The creation of such a center seems to be effective for the Mongolian side, since the terrain of the Gobi desert, covering the southern part of the country, is very similar to the surface of Mars. And Musk has repeatedly stated that his goal is, among other things, the colonization of Mars.
Earlier, Oyuun-Erdene, according to the publication, held another meeting with Musk. It discussed, in particular, the readiness to contribute to the opening of a Tesla branch in Mongolia.
