Former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in two weight categories Conor McGregor will play one of the main roles in the remake of the Hollywood action movie Road House. The participation of the Irishman is reported by Deadline.
In a new interpretation, the film will tell the story of an ex-UFC fighter (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), who got a job as a bouncer in a bar in Florida. However, in a tropical paradise, “everything is not as it should be.”
The film will be directed by Doug Liman. Concerning McGregor’s character, the only information is that he will not be playing himself.
The fighter is currently 34 years old. He has 22 wins and 6 losses.
Production on the film will soon begin in the Dominican Republic. This will be Conor McGregor’s first film role.
