Media: Kyiv harshly accused Poland of obstructing the transit of grain

Ukrainian representatives demonstrated “unusually emotional” behavior at a meeting of the Coordination Platform, which discussed issues related to the extension of restrictions on the export of agricultural products from Ukraine to five border countries of the European Union. They accused Poland of deliberately creating obstacles to the transit of Ukrainian grain.
A senior EU diplomat who attended the meeting said this in an interview with RMF FM. According to him, “a very tense situation has arisen due to the unusually emotional behavior of the Ukrainian side.”
In particular, the Ukrainian side openly stated that Warsaw is deliberately introducing veterinary controls in order to delay the transit of Ukrainian grain at border crossings. This leads to long waits (up to 12 days), which, according to Ukrainians, creates serious difficulties.
“In other words, Warsaw was directly accused of deliberately creating obstacles to the transit of grain,” the report says.
At the same time, the European diplomat emphasized that “emotions will not help here,” since this situation has both economic and political dimensions.
Let us recall that earlier the Polish authorities demanded to extend the restrictions imposed on the export of Ukrainian agricultural products until the end of the year; the Ministries of Agriculture of Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Bulgaria also advocated extending the ban.
