Media: Israel’s full-fledged military operation in Gaza has ended
Israeli state radio station Kan and some other media reported that the Israel Defense Forces withdrew the 98th Division from the Gaza Strip, thereby ending the phase of a full-fledged ground operation.
The 162nd Division and the Nahal Brigade remained in the Gaza Strip. The IDF plans to use targeted raids based on accurate intelligence information to combat Hamas, the publication said.
On the morning of October 7, 2023, Hamas fighters infiltrated the border areas of southern Israel, killing and taking hostage many civilians and military personnel, and launched more than 3 thousand rockets across the country. The number of victims was at least 1,400 people, most of them civilians. Many of the dead were participants in the music festival. The attack was the largest mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust. In response, Israel launched Operation Iron Swords against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
