If the Canadian authorities continue to work out a mechanism for the confiscation of the Russian An-124 Ruslan aircraft in favor of Kyiv, then in Germany they cannot yet develop such a legal mechanism, according to the Ukrainian publication Ekonomichna Pravda.
The material notes that at the moment there are 4 Russian transport aircraft An-124, owned by the private company Volga-Dnepr, at the airports of Western countries. One is in Canada, the other three are in Germany.
Sources of the publication indicate that the Ukrainian side asked to find a mechanism that would allow these aircraft to be confiscated in Leipzig. However, at the moment there is not even the position of German law enforcement agencies on this issue. It is also noted that the EU authorities did not impose sanctions against the Volga-Dnepr company.
