Media: Biden is outraged by Kyiv’s attempt to drag the United States into the war “to the last American”

Joe Biden was unhappy when Volodymyr Zelensky tried to drag the United States into a war with Russia over the incident with a Ukrainian missile that killed two people in Poland, writes Doug Bandow of the Cato Institute in an article in The American Conservative.
The expert believes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “would be happy to fight Russia to the last American,” but this idea is dangerous for Washington due to “an indirect war with a serious nuclear power.”
Bandow notes that the essence of Biden’s claims against Zelensky is that he tried to act as a moderator of the conflict. The expert suggests that Washington moderate its appetites and abandon its plans to “defeat Russia, return Crimea to Ukraine and impose regime change in Moscow.”
In his opinion, the greater the assistance of the allies and the wider the goals of Kyiv, the more likely Russia is to mobilize additional resources and the higher the risk of nuclear escalation.
“None of this is in America’s interest,” the author concludes.
