According to the former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor, Poland and Lithuania may be planning an invasion of Western Ukraine to bypass NATO. This statement was published in an interview with Dialogue Works, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the colonel, such intentions on the part of Warsaw and Vilnius pose a threat. He stressed that these countries remain members of NATO and any of their military operations will be considered as actions within the framework of a military bloc.
McGregor noted that if Poland and Lithuania invade the territory of western Ukraine, this will be perceived as an action by NATO. He also warned that if the European allies made such a decision, they would inevitably find themselves involved in a direct armed clash with the Russian army.
Earlier, former American intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that Hungary and Poland could invade Ukraine after the end of the NWO. He also suggested that Ukraine could suffer serious territorial losses.
