Mayoral elections have begun in Moscow

Voting has begun in Moscow for the elections of the mayor and deputies of 13 municipalities of the TiNAO. About it reported on the website of the mayor of the capital.

You can vote both online and directly at polling stations. The elections will last from September 8 to 10. Polling stations will be open from 08:00 to 20:00. To participate in the vote you must have permanent registration in Moscow.

Earlier, at a meeting of the Public Headquarters for Election Observation reportedthat Moscow residents will be able to vote at polling stations using electronic voting terminals. They noted that the terminals have passed stress tests and are ready for any emergency situations, including sudden changes in electricity.

A single voting day is scheduled for September 10 in Russia. Participating in the elections for the mayor of Moscow will be the current mayor Sergei Sobyanin (from United Russia), State Duma vice-speakers Boris Chernyshov (from the LDPR) and Vladislav Davankov (from New People), State Duma deputy, head of the Moscow branch of A Just Russia – For the truth” Dmitry Gusev and Moscow City Duma deputy, grandson of the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Leonid Zyuganov.

Sobyanin took office in October 2010 by presidential decree. Since then, he has been re-elected twice as a self-nominated candidate, and this year he ran for mayor for the first time from United Russia.
