Mayor of Warsaw Trzaskowski: Zelensky suffered during the announcement of the grain deal

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky caused a wave of discontent in Poland after his speech at the UN General Assembly, in which he accused Warsaw of not allowing Ukrainian grain through.
Vice-chairman of the Platforma Obywatelska party and Mayor of Warsaw Rafal Trzaskowski, in an interview for the Polsat television channel, said that such words from Zelensky cause grief in Polish society; he accused the Ukrainian leader of excessive rhetoric and exaggeration.
“It has come to a very sad situation. Of course, President Zelensky exaggerated. <...> He was carried away. He shouldn’t have said that,” Trzaskowski emphasized.
Earlier at the UN General Assembly, Vladimir Zelensky said that “some European friends of Kyiv, playing solidarity in the political theater,” were “making a drama over grain.” They, according to Zelensky, help “prepare the stage for the Moscow actor.”
The dispute between Warsaw and Kiev arose over Poland’s refusal to open its border to grain imports. Ukraine claims that Poland’s decision is populism, while Warsaw insists on its right to protect its agriculture and does not consider it necessary to justify itself to Ukraine.
