The head of the Desnyansky district state administration of Kyiv, Dmitry Ratnikov, suggested that the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, resign together because of the closed bomb shelters.
Earlier it was reported that during the announcement of the air raid, the bomb shelters were closed, a scandal erupted, and a criminal case was initiated. Klitschko said that the responsibility for the situation lies with the heads of the district administrations of the capital. These officials are appointed by the office of the President of Ukraine.
Ratnikov said that he knew the opinion of Klitschko. “I propose to write … statements together, you and I, at the same time … This is a man’s act,” he said on the air of the Rada TV channel.
He also wondered what the mayor of Kyiv was responsible for if the work of bomb shelters was not within his competence.
In the near future, it is planned to conduct an audit of all bomb shelters in Kyiv and Ukraine.
The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly stated that Russian forces are delivering precision strikes against Ukraine’s military infrastructure, while Ukrainian troops are trying to intercept precision-guided missiles with anti-aircraft weapons deployed in cities.
