On November 30, with the participation of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the technical launch of the section of the Big Circle Metro Line (BKL) from Savelovskaya to Elektrozavodskaya took place. On this site there are stations “Rizhskaya”, “Maryina Roshcha”, “Sokolniki”. Technical launches of other sections are planned to be held in December this year, and in the first quarter of the next BKL should be fully open to passengers.
– On behalf of the Mayor of Moscow S. Sobyanin, the technical launch of the north-eastern section of the Big Circle Line took place, – said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Transport. – With its launch, almost 900 thousand Muscovites will have new routes for moving around the city – thanks to them, residents will be able to save up to 40 minutes a day on the road.
Recall that the BCL has already been built, and now the systems of new stations are being integrated into the existing metro network. The construction of the BKL made it possible to create 6,000 new jobs in the city.
The large ring road was built using advanced engineering technologies: for example, the most modern dispatch control systems are installed here.
In addition, only the most modern Russian trains “Moscow-2020” operate on the line. Recall that the intensive renewal of the rolling stock has been going on for 12 years – during this time, the Moscow Metro has received more than 4,000 new generation cars.
