Maxim Galkin commented on his inclusion in the list of foreign agents

Showman Maxim Galkin, whom yesterday, September 16, the Ministry of Justice announced foreign agent, said that he was not engaged in political activities, as well as “opinion trading”. According to him, all the statements that he makes “as a citizen”, outside the genre of political satire, are sincere. He noted that he does not consider himself a foreign agent, however, since he is “in the company of very worthy people” on the list of foreign agents, he promises to “solemnly slap this sign on his forehead.” He denied the data on financing from Ukraine.
“This is the sincerity that is not paid … I do not trade my opinion, I share it disinterestedly and say what worries me, and I will say and believe that this is my inalienable right, enshrined in the constitution, as well as the right to work, which I am now being denied, simply because I have my own opinion, which is different from the generally accepted one, ”the artist said in an Instagram post (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
Regarding foreign funding, Mr. Galkin noted that he gave concerts in Ukraine about 10 years ago. “Then I received some fees, for many years I haven’t received a penny, I don’t receive anything at all. Therefore, the evidence base of the Ministry of Justice does not withstand any criticism,” he explained.
