Matviyenko urged to look up to Israel: “I didn’t serve – an inferior citizen”

The speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, during the voting on the law on electronic subpoenas and the unified register of persons liable for military service, said that she considers the bill adopted by the State Duma to be timely and necessary. She argued with Senator Lyudmila Narosuva, the only one who voted against.
Narusova during the discussion said that she had the impression of “very great haste after all in the adoption of this law,” and also recalled that not all Russian residents have a personal account on State Services and access to the Internet. She also urged colleagues not to dissemble. Matvienko replied that she suspected Narusova herself of cunning and that for Russians without access to the benefits of civilization, paper agendas would continue to operate.
“Arrival registration is not a right, but a constitutional obligation,” Matviyenko said.
She also urged to follow the example of Israel, saying that she treats this country with great respect.
“Look at the discipline there. If you haven’t served in the army, you are generally an inferior citizen,” quotes RBC speaker. “We haven’t got it all figured out yet.”
