Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, during a speech at a forum in Moscow, said that she enjoyed watching the recent concert of singer Yaroslav Dronov (Shaman).
“The future belongs to such artists,” said Matvienko. “And, of course, the future belongs to such young people.”
She contrasted the patriotic singer with those who “betrayed their homeland in its most difficult moments” and “chased after Western dimes.”
Matvienko praised Shaman for singing not to a soundtrack and for “writing such heartfelt songs, with such love for Russia.”
