Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko invited Brazilian President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to become his personal guide during his visit to Russia.
On the eve of his inauguration, the president-elect met with the chairman of the upper house of the Russian parliament, which represents the Russian Federation, at the ceremony.
“Let me be your personal guide in St. Petersburg,” Matvienko suggested. “Because no one will show you St. Petersburg better than me.” “We are waiting for you in Russia,” she added.
