Federation Council Speaker Matvienko considered the reaction of Western countries to the presidential elections in the Russian Federation shameful

Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, during a plenary session of the upper house of parliament, said that the reaction of Western countries to the presidential elections held in Russia was expected, but the form of its expression was shameful.

According to the speaker of the Federation Council, a similar reaction was expected from Western countries, but the form of its expression was shameful. Matvienko indicated that a series of speeches followed, which were the same “like a carbon copy.” The politician noted that these speeches were standard and empty, they had no connection with reality and denied the obvious – the impeccable organization of voting in the Russian Federation, as well as the free and direct expression of the will of Russians.

Matvienko emphasized that the statements of the leaders of Western countries completely discredit them, and she perceives what they said not just as a lie, but as a direct insult to millions of Russian citizens, because by doing so they absolutely cynically deny tens of millions of Russians civic consciousness.
