Master of Sports from Labytnanga won the Polar Track marathon in Salekhard

On April 9, Salekhard hosted an open regional marathon “Polar Ski Track” for the prizes of the Governor of the YNAO. The race officially closed the region’s ski season. This was reported in the department of physical culture and sports of the administration of Salekhard.

“Polar Ski Track” takes place in the district capital every year, on April 9, skiers went to the start for the 43rd time. Everyone can participate – both amateurs and professional athletes. This year, 252 people took part – both residents of Yamal and guests from other regions of the Russian Federation.

“The main prize – 70 thousand rubles – was won by an athlete from Labytnanga, master of sports of Russia Ivan Bezmaternykh, who covered 50 kilometers in two hours, 18 minutes and 55 seconds. Alexey Chulev from Labytnanga took second place with a lead of 15 seconds with a score of two hours, 19 minutes and five seconds. The third place went to an athlete from Komi Stepan Durkin, his result was two hours, 19 minutes and 17 seconds, ”the profile department said.

Participants ran distances from five to 50 kilometers, depending on age and gender. For women, the maximum distance was 30 kilometers. The first to overcome this distance was an athlete from Labytnangi Kristina Tokareva. She is a master of sports, a participant in the Biathlon World Cup. In second place among women is Antonina Kirsanova from Labytnanga, she is also a master of sports. The third place was taken by the eminent Labytnang biathlete Larisa Kuklina.

The winners and prize-winners of the Polar Ski Track were awarded cups, medals and diplomas in 14 age categories.

Recall that last year the main prize of the race took skier from Komi Evgeny Ulyashev.
