Mass poisoning of schoolchildren occurred near Kaliningrad

How reports press service of the Investigative Committee of the Kaliningrad Region, a case of mass poisoning of children with an unknown toxic substance was recorded in the region.

The department said that the incident occurred on February 15 in one of the schools in the village of Bolshakovo, Slavsky district. Based on this fact, investigators of the Soviet Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kaliningrad Region organized a procedural check.

“Six schoolchildren were hospitalized from a school in the village of Bolshakovo to the regional children’s hospital with signs of exposure to an unknown toxic substance… According to preliminary data, in the morning after the school assembly, schoolchildren began to receive complaints about deterioration in their health. Medical assistance, according to available information, was provided to the 23rd students, six of them (students of the 5th and 8th grades) were hospitalized,” the message says.

Investigators from the regional department of the Investigative Committee, with the participation of specialists from the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Kaliningrad region, are inspecting the scene of the incident, the progress of the inspection is monitored by the head of the ICR Main Directorate for the region, Dmitry Bocharov.
