A marine of the Pacific Fleet from Vladivostok with the call sign “Predator” shot down three Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft, a Mi-8 helicopter and two large unmanned aerial vehicles in the zone of special military operation (SVO). For this he was awarded the Order of Courage. Military blogger Alexei Sukonkin announced this on his Telegram channel. The most productive seaside anti-aircraft gunner, after nine months of service in the NVO zone, arrived on a two-week rehabilitation vacation. The infantryman had to master the portable anti-aircraft missile system in combat conditions. “They showed me how to aim, where to press, how to shoot. The rest is in battle, ”the fighter told the Vesti Primorye TV channel. He shot down his first helicopter “Predator” in September. “I prepared the position,” he says, “I sat down and sat for three days waiting. And yet I got this helicopter.”
The Predator survived after being attacked by a sniper and after a direct shot from a tank: “We were thrown back by the blast wave. Lucky it didn’t hurt.”
According to military correspondent Sukonkin, there are many such heroes now. The observer personally met him while he was on a business trip in the NVO zone.
