Maria Pogrebnyak openly spoke about the breakup with her husband-football player: “It’s not just that they say so”

Maria Pogrebnyak has been in the top of the discussed characters for a week now. And it’s not just about the fact that she took part in a popular TV show, reaching the final, but also thanks to the high-profile story of parting with Pavel Pogrebnyak. The fact that a divorce from a football player is possible was discussed back in the spring, but then Maria did not give any comments. And then the blonde gave up. She came to her friend’s birthday and made it clear to MK that the breakup really happened. She also told how and what she lives now, being the mother of three sons.

– I recently returned from a trip to Seliger, I really liked it. It is amazingly beautiful there, I am so proud that this is our Motherland, – Maria began the story. – If we talk about work, we are developing, we are finding talented guys, we are producing. And I can also say that I am the only girl who, having arrived on the first day of the show about the stars in Africa, reached the final. In general, this is the first experience of participating in such projects. And I didn’t expect myself to be strong.

– Did you discover any new qualities in yourself while participating in this extreme TV show?

– Yes. For example, restraint, endurance, thirst for victory: I see a goal – I see no obstacles.

– So, you can go over the heads?

– No, I always play fair. I live according to conscience and justice.

– And as for the rumors about a divorce from Pavel, tell us what the situation is now? They say you’re already free…

– I would not like to comment on this, well, if they say it, then they say it for a reason … I can say that we remained on good terms, and, most importantly, parents for our children.

By the way, about children. How are they, what’s new?

– Soon we will go to Sochi, because the youngest son has a tournament, he plays tennis professionally. The middle one is serious about swimming. Most likely, in July the children will go to Turkey, and I will fly to Italy, and then to the country. I just want to see Italy, and the children are comfortable in Turkey – there is a football tournament. Grandparents will be with them.

– You have three children, the eldest will be 17 soon. What is it like to be a mother of such an adult child, is it not difficult?

On the contrary, it’s so cool! We are literally friends: I support him, he supports me. I get so high that I have an adult, cool, independent son. Believe it or not, he didn’t have a transition period either. He was always calm, balanced, listened to me. And we found a common language since his childhood. My advice to all mothers: do not scold your children. Gotta sit down and talk

“Adult children are adult problems. Did you bring the girl home?

– Yes, he had his first love at the age of 12, he introduced me to her. Her name was Maria, the girl was very similar to me, but they did not work out. And now he has gone headlong into his studies and said that he does not want his girls to distract him from this process and from entering the University. He will act only in a year, but so far it is not even clear where. He still dreams of football, and I tell him: “Come on, this will still be your amateur occupation.” My son now goes to study at the Wings of the Soviets academy.

How did the children finish school?

And they haven’t finished yet. We have holidays since July 1st. It’s just that children study at the Russian-British school according to two programs: Russian and British. They have two algebras, two chemistry, history and so on. All this in Russian and English with native speakers. And in the UK holidays from July 1.

Why did you choose this particular school?

– Since the children lived in Europe for 7 years: three years in Germany, four in England, English became their native language.

– That is, you are tightening up the Russian language, and not English?

– Yes. They themselves have already mastered it and now they speak two languages ​​without an accent.
