Czech specialist Marcel Lichka left the post of head coach of the Orenburg football club and headed Dynamo. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow team.
“In June 2023, our club reached an agreement with Orenburg on the transfer of Lichka to work at Dynamo. Together with Marcel, Dynamo’s coaching staff will be joined by assistant coaches Mario Lichka, Rolan Gusev and Adesoye Oyevole, and analyst Aleksey Radevich. Dmitry Izotov will continue to work with goalkeepers,”— reported press service of Dynamo.
Press service of “Orenburg” published video called “Thank you, Marcel!”. The video tells about the stages of work of Mr. Lichka as head coach of Orenburg. It presents footage from press conferences, training sessions, as well as fragments of matches where the team’s players scored goals.
The fact that Marcel Lichka decided to leave the team was announced on June 15 by the sports director of the club Dmitry Andreev. According to him, the leadership of “Orenburg” tried to convince him. “There are no offenses against him, this is his choice, which must be respected,” Mr. Andreev noted then.
45-year-old Marcel Lichka has headed Orenburg since August 2020. In the last season of the Russian Championship, the team under his leadership took 7th place.
