Marathoner Russ Cook’s extreme run ended in Tunisia on Sunday – the British runner spent almost a year crossing the entire territory of Africa.
How reports Reuters, The marathon runner’s 352-day odyssey included robbery at gunpoint and food poisoning. The runner crossed the territories of 16 states.
Cook began his adventure last April at Africa’s southernmost point, the village of L’Agoulas, and continued along the continent’s west coast, covering a total of more than 16,000 kilometers.
Russ Cook became the first athlete to run across the entire territory of Africa.
