The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said that the department expects a decline in manufacturing output in Russia by the end of 2022 at a level of just over 1%. According to him, in order to finance a number of projects, the government has worked out investment programs in 19 industries until 2030. Their amount is approximately 5.7 trillion rubles.

“A package of anti-crisis measures of the government that has already been worked out and fine-tuned to new challenges has played a big role. As a result, by 2022 we expect only a slight decrease in the manufacturing industry – at the level of 1 with a small percentage, ”said Mr. Manturov during a meeting of the State Council Commission on Industry (quoted by RIA Novosti).

The minister added that in 2022, it was possible to rebuild logistics and supply chains, as well as outline directions for the development of the industry in the long term. He emphasized that these steps will allow achieving technological sovereignty within the country.

“This is not only about the basic industries, but also the main sectors of the economy as consumers of industrial products. Meaning transport, energy, construction, healthcare and food security. Under these requests, we worked out investment programs in 19 industries at strategic sessions of the government. A total of 5.7 trillion rubles. budget investments until 2030,” said Mr. Manturov.

On December 27 last year, Denis Manturov said that the volume of manufacturing production will decrease by no more than 3% by the end of 2022. He noted that positive dynamics was observed in industries oriented to domestic demand, including the production of medicines, computer equipment, and electronic products. According to the data Rosstatin January-November 2022, the decline in manufacturing was 0.8%.
