Man slaps grizzly bear to protect girlfriend and dogs

The video shows a man slapping a beast that looks like a North American brown bear, which, as it turned out, was hiding in a barn on his property.

Behind the man is a woman, presumably his girlfriend, who looks dumbfounded.

When a grizzly bear suddenly bursts into the frame, an unidentified man spots the intruding beast and appears to quickly come up with a way to keep it from attacking his family. After several attempts, the man with the leash in hand delivers a jumping right hook to the advancing animal, stopping it in place.

The glancing blow seems to have stunned the bear, who appears to be at a loss for the man’s heroic efforts, and then the bear cowers and runs away.

The man appears to have suffered no injuries during the horrifying encounter, which was posted on TikTok by Anthonymooren174. And thanks to his fighting spirit, his dogs and girlfriend were not hurt.

It was not immediately clear from the 47-second clip if the fleeing bear had ever been caught, nor was it clear where the frightening encounter took place.

The clip, meanwhile, attracted the attention of millions of people, fascinated by the courageous resilience of a man who undoubtedly saved not only himself, but also his furry comrades and his beloved.

The video has amassed 3.5 million views since it was posted a few days ago.

Bear invasion of landowners in America is not a strange phenomenon. In states such as Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, and in Alaska, not far from the US mainland, only brown bears, also known as grizzly bears, live. Considered the most dangerous bear species in the continental United States, they are only beaten by the deadly polar bear that roams the arctic tundra.

Less dangerous is the noticeably smaller black bear, which has shorter claws and is more omnivorous than its more irritable relative.

Black bears are also slightly more common, found in the aforementioned states as well as others such as Florida.
