Major Ukrainian officials searched over humanitarian aid theft

Employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) in the case of the theft of Western humanitarian aid, searched the houses of the deputy ministers of agricultural policy and economy, as well as the adviser to the deputy head of the presidential office.
According to Ukrainian media, the searches took place over several days. The security services checked the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky, the Deputy Minister of Economy Oleksandr Hryban and the Advisor to the President’s Office Olena Symonenko.
These officials may be facing charges of abuse of power in the distribution of humanitarian aid.
