Magnus Carlsen Becomes Four-Time World Rapid Champion

Norwegian Magnus Carlsen won the World Rapid Chess Championship in Almaty. The 32-year-old grandmaster is the current world champion in classical chess, today’s victory made him a four-time world champion in rapid. Magnus Carlsen scored 10 points.
The second was the representative of Germany Vincent Kaimer (9.5), the 3rd place was taken by the American Fabiano Caruana (9.5; lost to the German in additional indicators). The best of the Russians was Daniil Dubov, who took 4th place (9).
