Macron: The West will support Ukraine as intensively as necessary

French President Emmanuel Macron, who previously announced the deployment of troops to Ukraine, made a new loud statement following the EU summit in Brussels. According to him, the West is moving to intensive support for Kyiv and will respond to any attacks “that Russia carries out.”

“I have created strategic ambiguity, and more and more countries are supporting it,” the French leader said, adding that EU countries are no longer saying they will support Ukraine for as long as necessary.

“We are officially saying that we will support it as intensively as necessary,” Macron announced.

He explained that this means European countries are ready to “respond to any attacks that Russia carries out.”

“If anyone thinks that Russia will stop at Donbass and Crimea, then they are mistaken,” the French President also said, emphasizing that this opinion is shared by everyone, including US President Joe Biden.

According to Macron, if we see this happening, there is no interest in “waiting before giving a proportionate response.”

Let us recall that earlier, in addition to statements about the possible dispatch of troops to Ukraine, Macron announced that he had agreed to create a coalition for “deep strikes” on Russian territory. This coalition should begin supplying Kyiv with medium- and long-range missiles.
