According to French President Emmanuel Macron, Ukraine’s allies want the UAF counteroffensive to be as successful as possible. Macron made this statement on June 12 at a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Polish President Andrzej Duda. The French leader is quoted by the French TV channel BFMTV.

According to Macron, after the successful counter-offensive of Ukraine, it will be possible to move on to negotiations on “good terms”.

He also noted that Moscow’s “aggressive policy” is already a “strategic and geopolitical failure, since it is already clear to everyone that Ukraine will not be conquered.” The French President specified that the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine could last “weeks, or even months.”

“The conflict in Ukraine calls for us to continue close cooperation. We will make sure that Russia does not emerge victorious and fail to repeat this war,” Macron stressed.
