MacKinnon again surpasses Kucherov in the NHL scoring race
Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan McKinnon once again took first place in the NHL scoring race. In the match against the Los Angeles Kings, he scored the puck in the 19th minute and made an assist early in the first period.
In total, the 28-year-old Canadian striker now has 84 points – 31 goals and 53 assists. McKinnon is currently the top scorer of the regular season.
The Canadian managed to get around the Russian star of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Nikita Kucherov. The Russian has 83 points so far – 32 goals and 51 assists.
Kucherov will be able to try to catch up, and possibly overtake his competitor, in less than a day. On January 28 at 03.00 Moscow time, Tampa will host New Jersey.
