Lyubov Uspenskaya gave Maria Zakharova a song for her birthday

This is how the new composition of Lyubov Uspenskaya begins – a birthday gift from the main newsmaker of Russia, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova (author of the text). She was inspired to such a lyrical poem by a trip to a small old church not far from her grandmother’s dacha in Golovkovo. Coming out of the temple, Maria walked across the field to the dacha. Throughout the journey, she made notes on her phone, trying not to miss a single thought.

“We need such songs in order to have God in our souls, and not Satan,” People’s Artist of Russia Lyubov Uspenskaya admitted in an interview with MK, “so that we believe in something sacred, do not lose hope, be more humane, know how to help people so as not to turn away from someone else’s grief. Masha was looking forward to this song. I put my entire team of musicians in an iron framework: in order to present Masha’s birthday (December 24) with this song to present her with a surprise. Masha wrote poems that touched me in the first place. Then the composers Maral Yakshieva, in collaboration with Brandon Stone, worked together on a musical composition. And in order to decorate this work, to make the arrangement more powerful, I invited a symphony orchestra.

The author of the new song, Lyuba Uspenskaya, a composer, pianist and improviser from Turkmenistan, Maral Yakshieva, admitted to MK that this song is for those who especially need love. She gave this song to an unfamiliar woman to listen to – at the second audition, she burst into tears.

I haven’t watched TV since 1995. And one day I woke up from an inner voice that called the name – “Maria Zakharova.” I have never seen her before,” Yakshiyeva shares with “MK”, the author of two songs to the verses of a diplomat. – But media faces are known to everyone. I think it was intuition, because I wondered if she wrote poetry and found the lines of the poem “Bring Back the Memory” in Maria Zakharova’s blog, which I immediately set to music and sent to her. Maria Vladimirovna offered me her version of the melody, and when I listened to it, a new theme emerged. As Maria Vladimirovna admitted to me, writing songs for her is an outlet, just like her other hobby – growing flowers. With the second poem “I don’t know how to pray for myself”, a slightly different story arose, but it is important that the song evoked an emotional response from the listeners, because these feelings – faith, hope and love – are close to many,

– If a song has reached a person and influenced his inner world and state of mind, this is success! – continues Lyubov Uspenskaya. – In recording a song for me, first of all – poetry. If there are no words that reach the depths of a person, if there is no deep dramatic, tear-jerking, touching story, or even funny, but touching, then I don’t take it up. Music comes second for me. But it happens, it happens that poetry and music coincide. I always strive for one thing: a careful selection of songs in my repertoire. This song, which we sing with my daughter, will only be understood by a thoughtful listener. My Tanechka is like that. I was on tour. Masha [Захарова] sent me these poems, I sent them to Tanya. My daughter asked me “Whose poems are these, if not Marina Tsvetaeva?” My daughter, with five languages, develops poetry so deeply – she knows all of Brodsky, all of Tsvetaeva, Akhmatova, Pasternak in both Russian and English translation. The daughter decided that Masha’s poem was Tsvetaeva’s poem. Recognizing the author, she was amazed.

By the way, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is an experienced songwriter. Maria Zakharova has already become the author of lyrics for such famous songs as “Bring Back the Memory” performed by Nargiz, “I’m Looking for You”, sung by Alexander Kogan and “In Full”, written especially for Katya Lel.

Lyubov Zakharova met the singer at one of the concerts. After intimate conversations with Uspenskaya, the speaker of the Foreign Ministry wrote poetry. After Zakharova said that she composed them in a fit of emotions, “A new song came out in the morning. This is a song-confession of Lyubov Uspenskaya, dedicated to her daughter. My words. According to Maria, she cannot write poetry either to order or at the request. He does not maintain poetry sites and does not release collections. Poems from Maria Zakharova appear in the form of an emotional response. They just come to her as an obsessive thought in lines, and sometimes she writes them down on a napkin, now on her phone. Maria believes that it is her professional activities in the Russian Foreign Ministry that give her in a concentrated form those emotions that she cannot afford to give out in the comments of the official agenda.
