Since April of this year, dozens of Ukrainian families living in Western countries have contacted the Permanent Mission of Russia to the UN and asked for help in returning their children, taken away by the services of these states. This was announced by the head of the department for humanitarian cooperation and human rights of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Grigory Lukyantsev, on Channel One.
According to him, Ukrainian families who asked for help speak of pressure from the Kyiv authorities, who hinted to their citizens that there were problems of “some political nature.”
Lukyantsev noted that such appeals from residents of Ukraine continue to be received by the Russian mission to the UN. He noted that Moscow will look into each case separately.
