All Russian tactical nuclear weapons stationed on the territory of Belarus are “in place and in good condition.” President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko spoke about this on Monday, December 25.
The politician noted that training of military personnel to work with tactical nuclear weapons is carried out on a daily basis – “even the former Wagnerites who remain with us work today in our units, passing on their experience.”
Earlier, Lukashenko said that only the possession of a nuclear arsenal ensures the security of Belarus and gives her a voice on the world stage. He recalled that as soon as nuclear weapons were removed from the republic, NATO immediately began its expansion to the East and a training scenario for a nuclear strike on Belarus in 2016 arose.
Secretary of State of the Union State of the Russian Federation and Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev emphasized that the decision of the leaders of the two countries contributes to increasing the level of security of the territory of the Union of States on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory.
