Lukashenko spoke about the method of agreeing with Putin on the use of nuclear weapons

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he could agree on the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons with a single call to Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Lukashenka spoke about this in an interview with TV presenter Olga Skabeeva.

He noted that there is no problem to coordinate the use of weapons. “Listen, if the war starts, am I going to look around? No, he picked up the phone … Wherever he was, he picked it up. He called and I picked up the phone. Any time. What is the problem here: to agree … “, – clarified Lukashenka (a video fragment of the conversation was published by the Telegram channel “Pool of the First”).

According to Lukashenka, the republic received a weapon whose power is three times greater than the power of the one that the United States used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In case of its use, “under a million people” will immediately die, Lukashenka added.

Not all Russian nuclear weapons have been delivered to Belarus yet, as soon as the process is over, the weapons will be dispersed. “We will not keep them in one place,” the president explained. Previously Lukashenka declaredthat the deployment of nuclear weapons in the republic was his demand to guarantee the security of the country.

On May 25, 2023, the Ministers of Defense of Russia and Belarus, Sergei Shoigu and Viktor Khrenin, signed documents defining the procedure for keeping Russian nuclear weapons in a special storage facility on the territory of the republic. As reasons, Shoigu cited the activity of NATO’s joint nuclear missions, including the training of pilots of the non-nuclear countries of the alliance in the use of American nuclear bombs stored in Europe.

June 9 Putin toldthat the deployment of Russian non-strategic nuclear weapons in Belarus will begin after July 7-8, when the preparation of the corresponding structures is completed.
