Lukashenko suggested that if an amnesty is announced, attention should be paid to women and children
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting on the topic of legislation on criminal liability. One of the issues discussed was the proposed announcement of an amnesty for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, reports belta.by.
Addressing the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Ivan Kubrakov, Lukashenko said that, taking into account the date, the amnesty, if a decision on it is made, should be different from others, and suggested “taking a closer look at women and children, women with children and other categories of convicts.”
