Lukashenko pointed out the US involvement in the conflict between Poland and Ukraine

The United States is behind the disagreements between Poland and Ukraine, since Warsaw “was given the go-ahead because of the window,” said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

“Do you think that Poland is just crushing this poor Ukraine today? No, they already gave the go-ahead from overseas: we need to dump this Zelensky, he’s tired of him. Tomorrow there are elections in America, no one will even look at it,” said Lukashenko at the plenary session of a seminar-meeting on the development of livestock farming (quote from BelTA).

At the same time, the president emphasized that Belarus needs to defend itself, since “we don’t know what to expect from these rabid Polish politicians.”

The conflict between Warsaw and Kiev has escalated amid an embargo on the supply of Ukrainian agricultural products to the Polish market. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York, accused Warsaw of helping Russia with the ban. In response, on September 20, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasily Zvarych was summoned to the Foreign Ministry. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Pawel Jablonski conveyed to Zvarych “a decisive protest from the Polish side.”

On September 20, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Polsat that Warsaw had stopped supplying weapons to Kyiv, as it was actively arming itself. On September 21, Polish government spokesman Piotr Müller said that Poland would carry out “only previously agreed supplies of ammunition and weapons, including those arising from contracts concluded with Ukraine.”

Kremlin statedthat the behavior of Kyiv will be liked less and less by Europeans. In addition, Moscow expects increased friction between Poland and Ukraine, says Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
