Lukashenko: FSB and KGB eliminated terrorist network in Belarus

The special services of Russia and Belarus have eliminated the terrorist network operating on the territory of the republic, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State in the Kremlin.

According to Lukashenka, weapons “flowed” from Ukraine, and the attackers create caches of weapons and explosives both in the Russian Federation and Belarus. Explosives from such a cache could also be used in organizing a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, as a result of which military commander Vladlen Tatarsky was killed, Lukashenka admitted.

Then the Belarusian president said that the detainee was a citizen of Russia and Ukraine, in 2014 he was recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). Six or eight months ago, Lukashenka claimed, the SBU and CIA launched an operation “against the Republic of Belarus”, and a well-trained terrorist was sent to the republic.
Later it became known that the saboteur Nikolai Shvets, detained in Belarus, acknowledged work for the SBU. The KGB of Belarus, in turn, stated that the involvement in the organization of the terrorist attack of the operational staff and the leadership of the SBU was established.
