Lukashenko called the condition for mobilization in Belarus

If Belarus feels threatened, then mobilization will be announced in the country, President Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with representatives of foreign and Belarusian media, transmits BelTA. According to him, now there is no such threat.

“This is written in the documents, they are not secret. If we feel the threat of war, we will mobilize. So far, there is no such threat,” the Belarusian president said.

Lukashenka assured that the country is not going to announce mobilization. “But we are preparing for war in terms of ensuring that aggression is not committed against us,” he added. Lukashenka stressed that Belarusians should do their job every day and live in peace.

BelTA reports that regarding individual calls to almost flee from Belarus, Lukashenka said that this “hustle” [шум] will soon subside and this is just an information campaign launched for specific purposes.

Ministry of Defense of Belarus November 22, 2022 refuted information about the alleged conduct of covert mobilization on the territory of the republic. The defense department then explained that those liable for military service were called in to clarify the data, were notified about gathering events, and also for conscription for military service. From mid-November until the end of this year, the credentials will be checked for all those liable for military service who are registered with the military, the press service added.

On November 15, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic announced a planned check of the credentials of those liable for military service. The department also noted that the course of this check demonstrates a high level of understanding by Belarusians of their duties in military registration.

In Russia, partial mobilization went on from September 21, 2022 to the end of October. During this time, according to the Ministry of Defense, 300,000 military personnel were called up. On October 31, the Ministry of Defense announced the final completion of all activities within the framework of the call for partial mobilization, including the issuance of subpoenas. Later, this was confirmed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, emphasizing that “the end has been put in this issue.” The announcement of partial mobilization in Russia was preceded by statements by the authorities that there were no such plans.
