Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced Russia’s readiness to provide 1 million tons of grain, despite an initial request of 500,000 tons.

“Just in case, set aside 500,000 tons of grain. He says, don’t worry: we’ll sell a million, and at reasonable prices, ” leads Lukashenka’s words “BelTA”. According to the Belarusian leader, such a conversation took place during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Lukashenka noted that he asked to make this reserve “just in case”, since a good harvest is already expected in Belarus this year. However, the additional crop could be useful as animal feed and livestock and poultry development.
