More than 80 former security officials in Belarus have been stripped of their military (special) ranks. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of the country Alexander Lukashenko.
The ex-siloviki were deprived of their titles and class ranks for committing crimes, administrative offenses and discrediting offenses “incompatible with the status of a military man, an employee of the prosecutor’s office.”
Among those who fell under the document, as reported, there are former military personnel who are currently taking part in armed conflicts in the territories of other countries.
