Lukashenka met with contenders for astronauts from Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is sure that each of the six contenders for astronauts from Belarus, who will be recognized as fit for medical reasons, will fly into space.
“They will not get lost,” the head of state assured during his visit to the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center. “Whoever does not fly the first time will fly the next.”
The Telegram channel Pool of the First today published a joint photo with applicants for astronauts from Belarus.
Earlier it was reported that more than three thousand candidates from Belarus have applied for a flight into space. Of these, after numerous selections, six contenders remained.
The name of the candidate for space flight from Belarus and his backup will be known in 2023.
