The deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory is an adequate response to the accelerated militarization of Eastern Europe. This opinion was expressed by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in messages participants of the XI Moscow Conference on International Security.
According to the Belarusian leader, the current international situation remains unprecedentedly tense. All known threats and challenges have escalated, and the risks of using weapons of mass destruction are growing.
Lukashenka noted that today international law in the field of arms control is discredited. In all countries, without exception, there is economic and national instability due to information wars and cybercrime.
The system of international trade and economic relations is undermined by a new type of weapon – restrictive measures and sanctions, Lukashenka believes.
The politician noted that Belarus is making every effort to combat transnational challenges. By deploying tactical nuclear weapons on its territory, the country adequately responds to the accelerated militarization of Eastern Europe and the growth of US and NATO military activity.
