Lukashenka arrived at the Cosmonaut Training Center near Moscow

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, at the invitation of the Russian side, arrived at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City. He will get acquainted with the work of the center, the system of selection and training of astronauts.
According to Interfax, Lukashenka was met at the center by Roscosmos CEO Yuri Borisov, executive director of the state corporation for manned space programs Sergei Krikalev and head of the Cosmonaut Training Center Maxim Kharlamov.
On December 20, Roskosmos reported that six contenders for a flight into space from Belarus had arrived at the CTC. As Vladimir Gusakov, head of the presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, said earlier, Mr. Lukashenko ordered that a girl become the first cosmonaut to go into orbit from Belarus.
