As part of the winter package of military assistance, Britain will give the Ukrainian Armed Forces lighters, which are engraved with the greeting of Ukrainian nationalists. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain distributed on Sunday.
It states that the “winter package provided to Ukrainian recruits undergoing training in the UK” will contain a “special” item symbolizing British support. It is written about him like this: “A lighter is a soldier’s best friend for many generations.”
On it, the British engraved a trident and a famous greeting, which was approved in 1941 by the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (banned in Russia) led by Stepan Bandera, who collaborated with Nazi Germany. Now this greeting is used by the Ukrainian military and police, it is heard everywhere in Ukraine.
Earlier, the UK authorities announced that by mid-December they would send 25,000 sets of winter uniforms, 12,000 sleeping bags for extremely low temperatures and 150 heated tents to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
