Lokomotiv snatched victory in the fourth match of the series with CSKA

The team of the Yaroslavl hockey club was able to win the fourth match of the playoff series. Lokomotiv defeated CSKA on its own field, in the capital.

Initially, the match was in favor of CSKA. The home team scored a spectacular goal in the first period. And they did not allow Lokomotiv to develop their initiatives.

But in the second period, the Yaroslavl team found the key to CSKA’s defense. The first goal was scored by Maxim Shalunov. And literally three minutes later, Denis Alekseev scored a goal from a pass from Rushan Rafikov and brought the team ahead in the score. This is Alekseev’s fourth goal in this playoff series.

The puck turned out to be the winner. Despite all the vicissitudes of the third period, the score no longer changed. In the third period, Lokomotiv played in the minority three times. But the team was able to defend its goal from the constant attacks of the opponent. At the end of the period, CSKA removed the goalkeeper and put in a sixth field player. But this furious onslaught of the home team did not change the score.

The match ended with a score of 1-2 in favor of Lokomotiv. The series score is 3-1, Lokomotiv is ahead.

The team will have at least one more home match. It is scheduled for March 8 and will be held at Arena 2000.
