The tournament disaster experienced at the turn of September and October by Lokomotiv seems to have led to the end of a short and very strange “German period” in the history of the Moscow giant. After a crushing defeat to Sochi in the 12th round of the championship, which became the club’s fifth in a row in the Russian championship, he announced the dismissal of two key German specialists – head coach Josef Zinnbauer and sports director Thomas Zorn.
