The Yaroslavl hockey club lost again. This time at the home Arena 2000. In the first home match after a disastrous trip, the “railroad” team lost to SKA St. Petersburg.
Alexander Polunin opened the scoring in the game. In the first half, he hit the opponent’s goal. But the Yaroslavl team lost the second period outright, allowing the opponent to score twice. In the third period, SKA scored another goal against Lokomotiv. And only Artur Kayumov, 4 minutes before the end of the match, slightly reduced the gap in the score. The result of the meeting was 2-3 in favor of SKA.
Roman Rotenberg, the head coach of the guests, showered compliments on Lokomotiv’s clear and well-coordinated professional play in a post-match interview. Igor Nikitin, head coach of Lokomotiv, commented on the game vaguely, saying that the team’s main victories were ahead.
Lokomotiv will play the next match at home again, hosting Severstal Cherepovets.
