Lokomotiv barely passed CSKA

The Yaroslavl hockey club “Lokomotiv” played another home match with an extremely inconvenient opponent – the capital club CSKA. After three defeats in a row, Lokomotiv fans expected victory from their team.
The game started with two goals from the home team. First, Alexander Polunin, with a pass from Pavel Kraskovsky, opened the scoring in the third minute of the match. And on the sixth, Rushan Rafikov, with the help of Daniil But and Stepan Nikulin, consolidated the success.
But the army team was able to successfully convert the majority. And at the end of the period, score a goal “into the locker room”, equalizing the score. The teams went into the break with the score 2-2.
In the second period, the teams exchanged goals again. At Lokomotiv, Artur Kayumov scored a goal from a feed from Berezkin and Shalunov. In the third period, the army team took the lead in the score, scoring the fourth goal. But Rushan Rafikov scored a double, scoring a goal from Kayumov’s feed in the last minute of normal time. Regular time ended with the score 4-4.
In overtime, Lokomotiv turned out to be stronger. The winning goal was scored by Denis Alekseev from Shalunov and Elesin.
Based on the results of the match, Lokomotiv is in third place in the West conference table. There is one more home match ahead – with Salavat. It will take place on February 17th.
