Liz Truss urged to increase sanctions pressure on Russia

Despite the statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin about his readiness to use all means to protect Russia, British Prime Minister Liz Truss urged not to give in to Moscow’s “threats”.
In her opinion, “sabre-rattling” should be answered with new sanctions.
“Instead, we must continue to increase sanctions against Russia and support the Ukrainians,” Truss stressed.
She believes that the UK should show solidarity with the US and adopt Washington’s approach.
Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has vowed to increase military spending by at least £52bn in response to “Russian aggression”. By 2030, the annual defense budget will reach approximately £100bn.
