Lithuanian MEP calls for depriving Hungary of voting rights in the EU

The European Commission and the Council of the EU need to consider the issue of depriving Hungary of its voting rights in the European Union, says Lithuanian MEP Rasa Juknevičienė.
In her opinion, the Hungarian authorities, through their decisions, support Russian President Vladimir Putin. Taking this into account, she calls for measures to be taken to prevent possible destabilizing consequences for the European Union.
“It is necessary to stop Orbán’s actions, which contribute to the destabilization of the European Union. Why are the EU Council and the European Commission not yet taking action on this issue? The disunity of the European Union is becoming noticeable. We hope that effective measures will be taken. Otherwise, we may have to face serious questions regarding future of the EU,” the deputy noted.
