Lithuania transferred NASAMS launchers to Ukraine

Vilnius transferred launchers for medium-range missiles to NASAMS, as well as related equipment, to Kyiv. This was announced on Friday, November 10, by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
The Baltic state has drawn up an assistance plan for Ukraine until 2026. It provides for the provision of military assistance in a total amount of 200 million euros.
Since the beginning of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, Vilnius has supplied Kyiv with weapons and military equipment worth more than 1 billion euros – this is 1.2% of Lithuania’s GDP.
Earlier, Alexander Shenderyuk-Zhidkov, a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation from the Kaliningrad region, said that unaffordable defense costs and support for Ukraine had brought the Lithuanian authorities to the point where they had to impose a tax on rain.
